Recreational Tuition Overview

We occasionally receive questions about why monthly tuition remains the same even though the number of class dates can vary from month to month. We’re happy to clarify how our tuition is structured!

Our tuition is not calculated by the number of classes in a particular month.

Instead, students enroll in a full season of instruction, ideally starting in August and continuing to build toward our stage performance in May. We calculate the total number of classes offered over the entire dance season, set a total tuition for that program, and then divide it into equal monthly payments for convenience.

This means that monthly tuition stays the same even though some months have more class dates and some have fewer. Over the full semester, the total number of classes is the same for everyone.

Some months have fewer classes due to holidays or studio closures, and other months have more. Rather than changing tuition every month, we average it out so families have a predictable, consistent payment.

Over the course of the entire dance season, it balances out. The monthly tuition is an equal installment of the full season’s tuition and remains consistent for budgeting simplicity.

This approach allows families to budget easily while enabling us to provide consistent instruction and plan our programming throughout the season.
